Bit documents inside the same workspace can be easily interlinked to create a beautiful internal wiki. You can create processes, guides, project management documentation, tech specs, meeting agendas, reports, knowledge bases and more. Anyone who is part of the workspace can contribute to the living wiki.
You can create two types of wikis, an internal wiki and an external wiki that has been published to share with the outside world. Here's how you can create both:
1️⃣Part 1: Internal Wiki
Follow these directions to interlink your documents:
👉🏼1. Open up a Bit document and start typing.
👉🏼2. Highlight any portion of your text.
👉🏼3. You'll see a formatting tool bar appear. Click on 'Link to Document.'
👉🏼4. Start searching for any document with this workspace.
👉🏼5. Once you found it you can add it to your document and you'll see the text you originally highlighted now has a hyperlink taking the user to that document.
2️⃣Part 2: External Wiki
7. 👉🏼 From the drop-down select 'Share.'
8. 👉🏼And enable sharing pop up will open. Click on 'Turn on Sharing'.
👉🏼9. Copy the live link, grab the embed code or create a trackable link.
