When you add any weblink to a blank line Bit automatically converts it into a visual block of content. It'll render your content as a rich embed or display it as a visual bookmark. If you would like to display your weblink as a URL you can have the following choices:

  • 1️⃣Convert Rich Embeds into URLs
  • 2️⃣Convert Weblinks into URLs
  • 3️⃣Add a URL to a bullet list
  • 4️⃣Add a URL as a hyperlink on text

Follow these directions to learn each of these methods or skip to the method you want to learn about:

1️⃣Convert Rich Embeds into a URL

1. 👉🏼 Open any Bit document and click on a blank line.

2. 👉🏼 Paste any web link. 

3. 👉🏼Your content will automatically be fetched and displayed in the most engaging way. If it's rich media content it will display like this:

4. 👉🏼You can click on the three dots in the top right corner of the widget and resize your content or edit the title and description of it. You can click the 'Plain link' option to convert it into a plain URL.

2️⃣Convert Weblinks into URLs

1. 👉🏼 Open any Bit document and click on a blank line.

2. 👉🏼 Paste any web link. 

3. 👉🏼Your content will automatically be fetched and displayed in the most engaging way. If it's a website or article, it'll look like the image below and will automatically fetch a picture, title and description. 

4. 👉🏼You can click on the three dots in the top right corner of the widget and resize your content or edit the title and description of it. You can click the 'Plain link' option to convert it into a plain URL.

3️⃣Add a URL to a bullet list and it won't fetch

1. 👉🏼Go to a blank line and click the * astrix button on your keyboard. Add a space and you'll see a bullet list has started. 

2. 👉🏼Paste any URL in the bullet and it won't fetch.

4️⃣Add a URL as a hyperlink

1. 👉🏼Highlight any text and click on the link icon. Add your URL inside of the field. 

2. 👉🏼Your words are now hyperlinked.
