Guest access opens up endless possibilities for your organization's workflows.

Once you're on the business plan admins and managers in the account can invite free guests to join your organization. Guests can be outside contractors, vendors, consultants, partners, and clients. Think of your guests as individuals who don't need to edit and work with you on creating your Bit documents.

Guests have two types of access permissions - read-only or comment only. Your guests cannot create workspaces nor can they create documents.

Guests can be invited to an unlimited amount of workspaces and access folders and documents inside of each workspace they have been invited to. They can also view the pinned documents. Everything else has been removed from their view and access. They don't have access to the content library, insights, and the settings tab.

Guest access is a great way to incorporate more workflows into Bit so that your organization productivity increases. Here are some examples of ideas you can run with by inviting guests:

  • Create client portals and share monthly/quarterly reports,

  • Create customer wikis.

  • Create customer-related projects & updates.

  • Create vendor-related portals.

  • Share internal information with consultants.

  • and much more!
